We want to alert you to an increase in fraudulent calls from people purporting to be Internal Revenue Service (IRS) agents. These callers can be aggressive and persistent.
The callers typically say they represent the IRS and that there is a judgment pending against the person they have called. They also typically ask for social security numbers and sometimes credit card numbers.
PLEASE BE ADVISED: The IRS will never contact you via telephone or ask for your social security number or credit card.
We urge you to ignore calls from anyone who identifies himself or herself as a representative from the IRS. If you have any questions, please consult your GW & Wade counselor.
We’ll send you timely commentary covering investing, taxes, equity compensation, and more.
